We recommend cleaning the fountain pen regularly (ideally every one to two months) under running, clear, lukewarm water. Particularly if the ink has dried up through lack of use, when changing the ink colour or if the ink flow has reduced. If this does not improve the ink flow, contact our customer service at info@faber-castell.de
The pen was used for quite some time and was running out of gas. So I decided to give this technique a try: opened the top part (shown separately on the image below - please do not be lazy and get pliers - I used my teeth and it's not the smartest move - the cap is hard!), added a few drops of alcohol and - VIOLA! The pen has more life!
I looked how I was holding my pen when drinking tea - it was still in my hand but nib pointing upwards. My conclusion: some inks have a higher survace tension and with those very slick inner surface of the converters somehow the air can not get into the converter because the ink sits on the feed.
